When applied to any hard surface, SaniDate 5.0’s activated peroxygen chemistry reacts to a broad spectrum of fungi and bacteria, and kills (oxidizes) them on contact.
SaniDate 5.0 can be sprayed, foamed, fogged or injected directly into tanks or spray systems. See our Biofogger and Biofoamer for easy application options.
For lighter applications, a cloth, mop, sponge, scrubber, or brush can be used.

Common use scenarios:
Q: How can SaniDate 5.0 be used to clean lightly soiled hard, non-porous surfaces such as those listed above? A: For surfaces that are lightly soiled or have been pre-rinsed for heavy contamination, use a rate of 0.5 fluid ounce per gallon of water.
Q: How can SaniDate 5.0 be used to clean heavily soiled hard, non-porous surfaces? A: Use a rate of 1 fluid ounce per gallon of water. Apply SaniDate solution with a cloth, mop, sponge, scrubber, brush, or coarse spraying device to ensure that all affected surfaces are thoroughly soaked. Ensure that all surfaces stay wet for at least 10 minutes. Then remove the Sanidate solution and residual dirt or grime with a wet, clean cloth, mop, or wet vacuum. Prepare a fresh SaniDate solution daily, or when the solution gets diluted or dirty. Apply the solution every seven days, or more frequently if new contamination forms.
Q: How can SaniDate 5.0 be used to prevent mold and mildew build-up on new hard, non-porous surfaces? A: To prevent surface mildew and mold build-up on non-porous, hard surfaces in new or renovated buildings, mix SaniDate 5.0 at a rate of 0.5 fluid ounces per gallon of water. Apply the solution evenly over the surfaces to be protected using an airless sprayer, paintbrush, backpack sprayer, or low pressure hand wand. Ensure surfaces are uniformly wet without pooling or runoff. Treated surfaces must be totally dry before they can be painted or covered with wallboard, siding, or flooring. Although this treatment will prevent mold and mildew build-up in most situations, if mildew or mold does appear, repeat the application of Sanidate 5.0 as needed, following the additional steps listed below for remedial mold treatment.
Q: How can SaniDate 5.0 be used as part of a large-scale mold removal or water damage restoration project? A: Follow the instructions given in the previous question to prevent mildew and mold build-up on new hard, non-porous surfaces. In addition, investigate to find the root causes of the build-up, take the necessary steps to eliminate them, and dry the affected areas to under 20% moisture content before reapplying SaniDate 5.0. Mildew and mold may recur where there is standing water, relative high humidity, or hidden water leaks.
Q: How can SaniDate 5.0 be used to treat flooded areas and sewer backups? A: Mix SaniDate 5.0 at a rate of 1 fluid ounce per gallon of potable water. Remove filth by wiping, mopping, or coarsely spraying affected surfaces with the SaniDate 5.0 solution. Surfaces used for food preparation must subsequently be rinsed using potable or sterile water.
Q: What are some other good sources of information on how to treat mold and mildew? A: For useful standards and guidelines to follow, please visit:
