Are There Better Choices for Sanitizing Child Care Environments?
Parents and childcare providers want what’s best for children. Obviously, this should include providing a clean and safe environment. Balancing cleanliness with safety can be more of a challenge than some care providers might think, though.
While harsh standardized cleaning supplies typically do a great job of removing pathogens, they can also expose young children and their caregivers to potentially dangerous chemicals. Thankfully, there are better solutions available on today’s markets. Instead of using harsh chemical cleaners, childcare providers can switch to low toxicity sanitizers for all of their cleaning needs.
How to Receive Almost Half of Your Daily Vitamin C Needs From a Potato
Imagine Thanksgiving dinner with casserole made from crunchy green beans, sauce made from ripe cranberries, and creamed corn made from kernels picked at their peak sugar levels. With a few extra hours of preparation and planning, this could be the reality for next November. Many fruits and vegetables, from peas to peaches, are safe to store for several months when frozen or canned. This enables in-season produce to sustain a whole second-life following its harvest. Compared to produce purchased out-of-season, or those frozen or packaged by commercial companies, in-season produce has both better flavor and higher levels of nutrients.
