You're reviewing: TerraClean Broad Spectrum Bactericide / Fungicide
TerraClean is approved for use in many different kinds of applications such as golf courses, athletic fields, and landscapes. Three soil-based applications are discussed here in detail: soil treatment at planting, drip irrigation, and consecutive crop soil treatment.
Soil Treatment at Planting
When applied at planting, TerraClean very effectively controls harmful soil-borne pathogens such as Fusarium, Pythium, Rhizoctonia, Phytophthora, Thielaviopsis, and Verticillium. Apply TerraClean mixed with setting water at planting time using banded or broadcast application.
Drip Irrigation
TerraClean is recommended for use in drip irrigation systems as an effective soil treatment for harmful pathogens such as Fusarium, Pythium, Rhizoctonia, Phytophthora, Thielaviopsis, and Verticillium throughout the growing season.
Consecutive Crop Soil Treatment
When different crops are grown one after another using the same soil, it is recommended that the soil be prepared for each new crop by applying TerraClean through the irrigation system between plantings to eradicate harmful soil-borne pathogens such as Fusarium, Pythium, Rhizoctonia, Phytophthora, Thielaviopsis, and Verticillium.
Q: How does TerraClean differ from OxiDate?
A: TerraClean, unlike Oxidate and ZeroTol, is not designed to be applied directly to plants, but is specially formulated for soil applications. TerraClean contains higher concentrations of organic acids than Oxidate, making it more effective in eradicating soil-borne disease pathogens.
Q: How is TerraClean most effectively applied?
A: TerraClean is most effectively applied using drip irrigation systems like micro emittters or drip tape.
Q: How chemically compatible is TerraClean with other crop treatments?
A: TerraClean is generally compatible with a wide range of common fertilizers, pesticides, and insecticides, but will be chemically incompatible with products containing these active ingredients: copper, aluminum, magnesium/zinc, and magnesium/copper. To check for compatibility with another product, mix small amounts of the two product solutions together, and see if a chemical reaction occurs. If compatibility is still unclear, always apply TerraClean before the other product. Be careful never to mix the TerraClean concentrate with the concentrate of another product.
Q: Can TerraClean be applied as a foliar (plant) spray?
A: No. It is specifically engineered for soil applications. Use OxiDate for foliar spray applications.
