Q: How compatible is OxiDate with other fungicides?
A: OxiDate is generally compatible with a wide range of common fertilizers, pesticides, and insecticides, but will be chemically incompatible with products containing these active ingredients: copper, aluminum, magnesium/zinc, and magnesium/copper. To check for compatibility with another product, mix small amounts of the two product solutions together, and see if a chemical reaction occurs. If compatibility is still unclear, always apply OxiDate before the other product. Be careful never to mix the OxiDate concentrate with the concentrate of another product.
Q: Can OxiDate be mixed with others fertilizers?
A: When diluted, OxiDate is compatible with most fertilizers. However, care should be taken never to mix the fertilizer concentrate with the OxiDate concentrate.
Q: How well does OxiDate work with chemical injectors?
A: OxiDate works well with popular injectors such as Anderson, Dosmatic, and Dosatron.
Q: What affects the shelf life of OxiDate?
A: OxiDate will remain effective as long as it is not exposed to other chemicals that it can react with, such as copper, aluminum, magnesium, and zinc. Be sure to keep the Oxidate container tightly closed and any stock tank solutions well-covered. Stock tank rates can be verified as needed using Oxidate test strips. OxiDate is not affected by freezing.
Q: Where is OxiDate registered?
A: Oxidate is registered and approved for use in the US, including California. It is also registered in Canada for application in potato storages.
Q: Which products are approved for use with organic crops?
A: The following products are OMRI-listed and approved for organic crops: OxiDate, SaniDate 12.0, StorOx, GreenClean, and GreenCleanPRO.
Q: Is OxiDate identical to Hydrogen Peroxide?
A: No. Whereas hydrogen peroxide is highly unstable and will quickly react upon exposure to organic material and ultraviolet light, Oxidate's patented blend of buffering agents and stabilizers ensure that it can be used without risk of phytotoxicity to seedlings.
Q. Is OxiDate mutation resistant?
A: Yes. Because Oxidate rapidly oxidizes on contact, bacteria and fungi cannot develop resistance to continued applications of Oxidate. To help stop the development of tolerant strains of fungi and bacteria, it is also recommended to alternate the use of Oxidate with other copper fungicides.
Although Oxidate contains only non-toxic chemicals, all carriers require us to pay a Hazardous Materials charge of $22 for commercial-grade products, including Oxidate. As a courtesy to our customers, this cost is included in our advertised price as part of our internal handling costs.
Due to carrier restrictions, Oxidate cannot be shipped by air, and must be shipped separately from other ordered items. Oxidate is drop-shipped straight from the manufacturer using Federal Express or UPS ground service.
