Apply CaproDerm using normal teat dippers. For optimal protection and coverage, the bottom two-thirds of the teat should be covered with CaproDerm.
Post-Dipping/Spraying Lactating Cows:
Dip or spray cow teats with undiluted CaproDerm immediately after the cow has completely milked out and the milk machine has been removed in order to prevent harmful organisms from entering into open teat ends after milking. Leave CaproDerm on the teat for 15-30 seconds for optimal barrier creation, allowing the dip to air dry. Apply CaproDerm to cow teats every time the cow has completely milked out.
Pre-Fresh Cows:
The teats of freshening cows should be dipped twice daily for about 10 days before calving occurs.
Dry Cows:
The teats of dry cows should be dipped or sprayed either as a final post dip or once per day for several days after the final milking.
